After that, the school system needs to pick up on it. Television is entertainment. And its not the same with video games where people can argue that video games might make dumb kids think its ok to kill people. Most TV shows that have violence show what a bad thing it is, like the guilt and pain that can come from crime. Television has less connection to violence than paintball does to writers block. It is the things the people watch on television that influences them. If they watch an action movie and it doesnt have much friction (the bad guy being caught) the viewers might think I could do this! and get an idea of violent actions. In conclusion,it all depends on the show or movie somebody watches and that type of person. Television cannot cause any actions. Yes, we are influenced by our media. But Ive watched plenty of action-packed gory movies about fights and violence and never had the urge. Part of it is parents, part of it is schooling and local environment. Violence has existed long before the media and although the scope of it has changed, the causes could never be attributed to media. Ideologically, whoever wrote this source assumes not only that Oscar Schneider is a good man, but also that there is a such thing as a good person. The Bible says that all men are evil sinners at heart in saying, â€Å"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God†.The source is Ritter by a left wing person it would seem because they are assuming that some people are good (good from birth and then you control if you are evil or not) while right wing people believe people are born evil. The strange thing is that the source focuses on individual people to do something about a problem and not people as a whole. This source is most likely written by a left wing person who has analyzed the situation that was the Nazi's and decided that these people chose evil.Also they only way for the people who chose to do good that were individuals, of whom they must accept existed, as for them to act individually, and they did make a difference. Left wing people, such as this source, must accept that there are individuals in the world that make a difference for the better without hurting society. Now that it is established that there is not such thing as a good person, we must question what these people are then. These people are people who are sinful people, but they are doing good deeds.Although they are naturally sinful, they choose to do good either for the good of humanity or for their beliefs. To make a difference in the world we must not be focused on our own possessions. Instead of agreeing that the only thing necessary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing, we should say something else.We must say that the only thing necessary for evil to succeed is for us to let our hearts and minds go to whatever pleases us, whether that be rampant murder, child pornography or Nazism. Therefore we must push back. We must fight our desires and fight for a better world, no matter who you are, what gender, race, age or religion. A Christian has a better reason than an atheist, for the Christian has a reason to live for, but We must still push on and do what is best for our country and our nation, or we may be doomed to destruction.

After taking the Myers Briggs short form test, the test has concluded that I am slightly expressed Introvert, moderately expressed sensing personality, moderately expressed feeling personality, and moderately expressed Judging personality. The test has also concluded that I am a type JIFFS. The JIFFS type are Individuals whose primary Interest Is In the safety and security of those they care about, such as their family, their circle of friends, and their fellow co-workers. The JIFFS hype also has an extraordinary sense of loyalty and responsibility in their makeup and they seem to fulfill in a degree that they can shield others from the dangers of the world or their surroundings. After reviewing the test myself, I do firmly believe that the test is accurate from my answers. Although I was unsure how to answer some of them, I tried to put myself in certain situations that would allow me to answer appropriately to each scenario faced with. Also, the test states I am an introvert. However, I do feel I share an extrovert side as well. Yes, I am more focused n myself, primarily on my own feelings, mind, and affairs. On the other hand, I am also showing sides of an extrovert. I can be assertive at times and seek out excitement on a spur of the moment feeling. Over all, I do feel it was accurate. I found the test to be interesting to take because I never would have asked myself these questions, nor would I have taken the time to think of what I would do in certain situations. Its interesting to me to learn and see how I am measured on a personality traits test considering everyone scores at a different level.

What Is a P-Value Hypothesis tests or test of significance involve the calculation of a number known as a p-value. This number is very important to the conclusion of our test. P-values are related to the test statistic and give us a measurement of evidence against the null hypothesis. Null and Alternative Hypotheses Tests of statistical significance all begin with a null and an alternative hypothesis. The null hypothesis is the statement of no effect or a statement of commonly accepted state of affairs. The alternative hypothesis is what we are attempting to prove. The working assumption in a hypothesis test is that the null hypothesis is true. Test Statistic We will assume that the conditions are met for the particular test that we are working with. A simple random sample gives us sample data. From this data we can calculate a test statistic. Test statistics vary greatly depending upon what parameters our hypothesis test concerns. Some common test statistics include: z - statistic for hypothesis tests concerning the population mean, when we know the population standard deviation. t - statistic for hypothesis tests concerning the population mean, when we do not know the population standard deviation. t - statistic for hypothesis tests concerning the difference of two independent population mean, when we do not know the standard deviation of either of the two populations. z - statistic for hypothesis tests concerning a population proportion. Chi-square - statistic for hypothesis tests concerning the difference between an expected and actual count for categorical data. Calculation of P-Values Test statistics are helpful, but it can be more helpful to assign a p-value to these statistics. A p-value is the probability that, if the null hypothesis were true, we would observe a statistic at least as extreme as the one observed. To calculate a p-value we use the appropriate software or statistical table that corresponds with our test statistic. For example, we would use a standard normal distribution when calculating a z test statistic. Values of z with large absolute values (such as those over 2.5) are not very common and would give a small p-value. Values of z that are closer to zero are more common, and would give much larger p-values. Interpretation of the P-Value As we have noted, a p-value is a probability. This means that it is a real number from 0 and 1. While a test statistic is one way to measure how extreme a statistic is for a particular sample, p-values are another way of measuring this. When we obtain a statistical given sample, the question that we should always is, â€Å"Is this sample the way it is by chance alone with a true null hypothesis, or is the null hypothesis false?† If our p-value is small, then this could mean one of two things: The null hypothesis is true, but we were just very lucky in obtaining our observed sample.Our sample is the way it is due to the fact that the null hypothesis is false. In general, the smaller the p-value, the more evidence that we have against our null hypothesis. How Small Is Small Enough? How small of a p-value do we need in order to reject the null hypothesis? The answer to this is, â€Å"It depends.† A common rule of thumb is that the p-value must be less than or equal to 0.05, but there is nothing universal about this value. Typically, before we conduct a hypothesis test, we choose a threshold value. If we have any p-value that is less than or equal to this threshold, then we reject the null hypothesis. Otherwise we fail to reject the null hypothesis. This threshold is called the level of significance of our hypothesis test, and is denoted by the Greek letter alpha. There is no value of alpha that always defines statistical significance.

Yet translating book to film is not always fully detractive. Sometimes, film can add artistic elements that may or may not help to inform the meanings intended within the book. Because more recent films are able to dazzle with amazing special effects and digital imagery, it is better to compare a film of the past which was more limited to simply telling the story. To illustrate the differences between film and novel, then, it is helpful to compare something like Victor Fleming's 1939 filmic rendition of Frank L. Baum's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz both in terms of medium and zeitgeist of the age in which each were made. Numerous differences exist between the film and the novel, many of which can be said to be minor but which also tend to generalize significant details of the book. Clearly, the film is limited in its ability to tell the story because of time constraints. While the novel could be as long as it needed to be to properly tell the story, the film is limited to two or three hours at most before it starts losing the interest of the audience. It is for this reason that the more specific details of the book are lost within the film. However, the film adds additional components such as sound in the form of music and voice. This creates a stronger emotional draw than just reading the words. Throughout the f ilm, the actors are also able to provide a greater sense of personality as they carry thoughts and emotions through facial expressions and actions rather than simply in narration. Some changes were made purely as part of the zeitgeist and change of medium, such as changing the silver slippers from the book to ruby red slippers for the film. This change was made to take advantage of the new color film technology that was then being introduced in Hollywood and used as a distinguishing feature between Kansas and Oz. Changes in wording, such as transitioning from the Tin Woodsman found in the novel to Tinman in the film are reflective of the changes in language that took place between 1900 England and 1937 America. However, even such a small change causes the story to lose some of the artistic wordplay present in the book. While these are all small changes, larger changes are also present. In both presentations, book and novel, the story begins in a gray and drab Kansas, but this depict ion is quite different between the two mediums, again reflecting changing zeitgeist. In the book, Dorothy and her family are quite isolated to the point that Dorothy can "see nothing but the great gray prairie on every side. Not a tree nor a house broke the broad sweep of flat country that reached to the edge of the sky in all directions† (1-2). In the film, Dorothy is not quite as isolated as she is first seen making her way home from school along a dirt road on which she is able to interact with several other members of her community. Dorothy's house has also been changed from the simple "four walls, a floor and a roof" described in the book to a comfortable frame house in the film in which Dorothy has her own room indicating the family exists in a comfortable middle class
